Associate Architect

What you will do

• Support the design, development, implementation, integration, and optimization of application, solution, information, technology, and business architectures.
• Consult with business customers on business processes, organizational structures, capability requirements, and enabling technologies.
• Specify and design systems, solutions, networks, infrastructure elements, and processes using appropriate standards, methods, and tools.
• Review system designs, evaluate major design options, and balance functional, service-quality, and systems-management requirements.
• Translate component requirements and specifications into detailed implementation solutions and advise on system development and integration.
• Lead improvement initiatives, support problem resolution, and communicate architecture decisions to developers, management, business users, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• Work from home in Pennsylvania is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or six years of related experience in lieu of a four-year degree.
• Knowledge of relevant architecture and technology areas, including databases, data warehousing, application development, integration, and web technologies.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders across the organization, manage expectations, and participate in technical and business walkthroughs.
• Experience is not required; health insurance industry knowledge and industry certifications are preferred.

• Health insurance industry business knowledge.
• Industry certifications, including Java Developer, DB2, Cognos, PEGA, Enterprise Architect, or Project Management certifications.
