Technical Consultant

Location: Remote for candidates anywhere in Canada and the US; EST timezone; up to 25% travel in North America; occasional onsite client assistance.

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 per year

What you will do

• Assess client requests and translate them into clear business and technical needs.
• Design and implement effective solutions within the company’s applications.
• Troubleshoot product stability and technical issues by phone and through the ticketing system.
• Integrate web solutions and new enhancements with the CIS Infinity system.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors, end users, client IT teams, and internal colleagues.
• Document configuration, enhancement, and testing notes and provide remote client training.

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of experience in customer support or business analysis.
• Ability to review and analyze VFP, C#, ASP.NET, and PowerShell code.
• Ability to create and modify complex SQL scripts.
• Strong requirements analysis, problem-solving, research, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• College diploma in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
• Availability to work in the EST timezone and travel up to 25% in North America.

Nice to have

• Experience with Remote Desktop Services, RemoteApp, Webex, VPN, and other remote access tools.
• Oral or written communication skills in French.
• Customer service training or certification.
• Experience in IT support, utility billing, financial applications, or Crystal Reports.
• Understanding of cloud solutions and concepts.
