Frontend Engineer (AI)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid work with work from home up to 2 days per week depending on team and customer needs.

What you will do

• Build and ship features for the OCC Assistant Manager web application.
• Design data-dense workflows, tables, timelines, and real-time operational dashboards for airline controllers.
• Improve interface performance and responsiveness across real-time views using profiling and front-end telemetry.
• Maintain the shared component library and front-end architecture, including state management, testing, accessibility, and loading and error states.
• Collaborate with Back-End and Design teams on API contracts, data flows, and interaction details.
• Use AI coding agents such as Codex or Claude Code responsibly while maintaining code quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering web applications with React and TypeScript.
• Experience with modern build tooling such as Bun and Vite.
• Experience with TanStack Router and Query, and component libraries such as Chakra UI, or the ability to learn them quickly.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents and front-end performance optimization.
• Fluency with Git and CI workflows.
• Strong product sense, attention to detail, and clear communication with Back-End and Design colleagues.

Nice to have

• Experience building data-dense, real-time, or mission-critical interfaces.
• Experience with Grafana Faro or similar real-user monitoring and telemetry tools.
• Exposure to airline operations or other 24/7 operational domains.
