Frontend Software Engineer (Barcelona-Hybrid)

What you will do

• Write, build, deploy, and maintain high-quality frontend code and performant user interfaces.
• Analyze application requirements, identify technical concerns, and create actionable implementation plans.
• Collaborate in an Agile team with colleagues in Romania and the US.
• Use AWS infrastructure to design solutions that improve product delivery.
• Maintain legacy applications and resolve bugs across the OPIS code base.
• Follow clean code, continuous integration, CI/CD, and other engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 4–5 years of hands-on experience in a similar software development role.
• Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Redux, and Next.js.
• Experience with CSS-in-JS using Emotion, component libraries, design systems, Storybook, accessibility standards, Figma, Jest, and React Testing Library.
• Understanding of relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL, AWS asset management, and Terraform or YAML pipelines.
• Familiarity with C# and the Microsoft .NET framework for supporting and transitioning existing systems.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and security best practices.

Nice to have

• Backend experience with Node, NoSQL databases, GraphQL, and complex API integrations.
• Experience with DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, SolarWinds, RedGate, Git, or TFVC.
• Experience using AI tools to improve drafting, analysis, research, or process automation.
