Lead Full Stack Software Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of Java-based microservices and contract-first REST APIs.
• Modernize a large-scale lease management platform by decomposing its monolithic architecture using the strangler-fig pattern.
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools for prototyping, scaffolding, testing, refactoring, and delivery improvement.
• Define solution architecture, engineering standards, code review practices, and development best practices.
• Implement multi-tenant architectures, application security controls, JWT authorization, and performance optimizations.
• Support cloud-native delivery on Azure and AWS with Kubernetes, CI/CD, automated testing, and production-readiness practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience with Java and at least 2 years in a Tech Lead role.
• Strong knowledge of modern Java 17+, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures.
• Professional experience with React and contract-first REST API design using OpenAPI.
• Experience modernizing enterprise applications and migrating monoliths to microservices.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Amazon Aurora, Redis, SQL Server, JWT-based security, and multi-tenant application design.
• Knowledge of Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, containerized environments, CI/CD, mentoring, code reviews, and stakeholder collaboration.
