TL;DR
Program Manager – AOC Falconer Modernization (Air Operations and Defense): Leading the modernization and sustainment of a mission-critical Air Operations Center program with an accent on customer engagement, operational readiness, cost, schedule, staffing, and risk management. Focus on translating mission requirements into executable solutions, transitioning current-state operations without disruption, and delivering 24/7/365 sustainment for complex operational command-and-control systems.
Location: Bedford, Massachusetts; onsite at Hanscom AFB preferred. Travel up to 25% may be required, with flexibility during proposal surges and technical review cycles.

What you will do
- Lead strategy and execution for the Falconer/Air Operations Center modernization and sustainment program.
- Support capture, proposal readiness, win themes, transition planning, customer engagements, and executive reviews before contract award.
- Assume responsibility for cost, schedule, technical and operational performance, staffing, subcontractors, customer satisfaction, and mission outcomes after award.
- Build trusted relationships with government stakeholders, operational users, requirements owners, and internal leadership.
- Establish governance, reporting, staffing plans, performance metrics, and risk-management processes.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead program managers, engineers, operators, and support personnel while coordinating delivery with the Technical Lead.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 15+ years of relevant Air Force, Joint, DoD, or national security experience.
- Senior leadership experience in operational command-and-control, air operations, or mission-critical weapon system environments.
- Experience managing large, complex programs across cost, schedule, performance, risk, requirements, staffing, stakeholder engagement, and operational readiness.
- Practical understanding of Air Operations Center operations, air tasking processes, operational C2, mission assurance, and live operational systems.
- Ability to brief senior military, civilian, and industry leaders and lead cross-functional teams and senior subject-matter experts.
- Active Top Secret clearance required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Air Operations Centers, Kessel Run, C3BM, JADC2, CBC2, or related Air Force C2 modernization efforts.
- Experience with weapon system sustainment, software modernization, operational readiness, performance-based contracting, or contractor performance evaluation.
- Experience supporting proposals, source selections, market research, RFIs, or major acquisition planning activities.
- Master’s degree, JPME, Air War College, or equivalent senior leader development.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
