Base pay: $132,000–$198,000 USD annually.

What you will do

  • Serve as the project technical lead or cognizant engineer for complex robotic systems and major subsystems.
  • Own system architecture, requirements, interfaces, verification methods, acceptance criteria, technical budgets, and system documentation.
  • Lead cross-functional execution across mechanical, electrical, software, controls, manufacturing, and test teams.
  • Define hardware-software interfaces, communication architectures, operating modes, fault responses, and system behaviors.
  • Lead integration and troubleshooting of robotic hardware, controls software, ROS/ROS2 applications, sensors, actuators, and test systems.
  • Plan and lead integration, verification, validation, qualification, acceptance activities, and formal technical reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, software, robotics, systems engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience developing, integrating, or delivering robotic, mechatronic, or complex electromechanical systems.
  • Experience as a technical lead, cognizant engineer, project engineer, or system owner across the full development lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience integrating and troubleshooting robotics hardware and software, including coordination across software, controls, electrical, and mechanical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of requirements management, interface control documents, trade studies, risk management, and verification and validation.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements; ITAR eligibility may also require U.S. permanent residency, refugee or asylum status, or applicable government authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Python, C++, and/or MATLAB experience in robotics, controls, integration, simulation, or testing.
  • Experience integrating robotic systems into aerospace or space applications.
  • Experience with embedded software, real-time controls, communications, fault management, or hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Experience developing ICDs, CONOPS, verification plans, and system architecture documentation.
  • Experience in aerospace, spaceflight, defense, or another high-reliability development environment.
