What you will do

• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to capture requirements and define systems architecture and design specifications.
• Design, integrate, and maintain ground systems to support National Security Systems (NSS) initiatives.
• Conduct system-level testing and performance optimization to ensure robust and reliable operations.
• Manage the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, and documentation.
• Provide technical expertise and mentorship on security, scalability, and maintainability standards for ground systems.
• Engage with government agencies and contractors to align engineering efforts with program objectives.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident.
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in space mission ground systems and NSS software development.
• Expertise in requirements management, preferably using DOORS Next Generation (DNG).
• Strong understanding of security protocols, encryption, and data integrity principles.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering or scientific field.
• Experience with spacecraft subsystems and communications protocols (e.g., CCSDS, DDS, GMSEC).
• Familiarity with system safety analyses techniques (FHA, FMECA, FTA).
• Background in proposing to U.S. Government research agencies like NASA, AFRL, or DARPA.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++.
• Expertise in Agile, DevSecOps, AWS, or Azure.
