Space Systems Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. Minimal travel of 20% and standard working hours.

Salary: $110,000–$120,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory services supporting space systems protection.
• Contribute analysis, recommendations, and proactive technical guidance to government mission activities.
• Assist with planning and oversight of government systems engineering efforts.
• Support space protection and mission integration activities.
• Review technical documentation and represent government interests in delivery and integration forums.

Requirements

• US citizenship required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or relevant field with at least three years of experience, or a master’s degree with at least one year of experience.
• Experience with systems engineering processes, including lifecycle, risk management, and change management.
• Understanding of integrating government capabilities into operational baselines.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, coordination, and independent-work skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of joint operations planning processes.
• Real-time spacecraft or ground systems operations experience.
• Familiarity with MBSE, digital engineering, Agile development, and cloud technologies.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge of satellite constellations, spacecraft orbits, ground stations, and space protection topics.
