PPCO Supervisor (Automotive)

Location: Mexico City, Mexico; hybrid with attendance at the assigned location at least 3 times per week. Regular international travel is required for 25–50% of the role.

What you will do

• Lead Value Chain Engineers and Cost Engineers in completing and optimizing automotive part costs.
• Audit supplier cost reporting, build cost models, and analyze cost data to identify gaps and reduction opportunities.
• Support purchasing teams with sourcing and negotiation strategies based on cost analysis.
• Lead continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives at supplier facilities.
• Conduct supplier workshops, develop improvement plans, and accelerate implementation to ensure savings are achieved.
• Collaborate with Supply Base, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Manufacturing, and other business partners.

Requirements

• Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of project execution experience and experience leading cross-functional projects and teams.
• Knowledge of harness and electrical manufacturing processes, cost estimation, and cost structuring.
• Ability to analyze large amounts of data, manage ambiguity, and work independently in a forward-thinking environment.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary and cross-cultural teams, with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Advanced English required; ability to travel at least 25% of the time, including international travel where a visa is required.

Nice to have

• Automotive, industrial, or financial industry experience.
• Manufacturing or operations experience and the ability to interpret market data.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand basic engineering documents.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work globally in a self-directed manner.
