Risk Analyst (Fintech)

What you will do

• Monitor daily transaction exceptions against approved account parameters for credit card processing activity.
• Review and request documentation to determine whether merchant processing activity represents an acceptable risk.
• Process daily fund releases through the suspense system for approved accounts.
• Maintain audit logs, departmental spreadsheets, and monthly reports on investigated accounts.
• Update merchant matches and placements on the Terminated Merchant File.
• Record account statuses and investigation notes in merchant, suspense, and related online systems while contacting customers about policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED and two years of related experience, or an associate degree with no experience.
• Customer service experience and ability to respond effectively to customer complaints.
• Ability to work with probability, statistical inference, and mathematical concepts.
• Ability to analyze and prioritize information and make appropriate recommendations.
• Commitment to quality standards and protection of sensitive information.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work the required schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience with card issuers or merchant acquirers.
