Metrology Technician II (Aerospace)

Location: Tempe, Arizona; onsite day shift

hirify.global provides metrology services for aerospace and industrial customers, including equipment calibration and repair, pyrometry, inspections, engineering support, and measurement systems.

What you will do

• Calibrate and certify electronic measuring and test equipment according to technical specifications and NIST traceability requirements.
• Calibrate and repair multimeters, frequency counters, timers, oscilloscopes, pressure devices, and related equipment.
• Calibrate measurement standards and maintain equipment according to established performance requirements.
• Coordinate calibrations performed in-house and by external vendors while guiding workflow with other technicians.
• Record maintenance activities in CMS and prepare reports and documentation covering test results, equipment condition, repairs, and preventive maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 3+ years of relevant experience, or an associate’s degree in engineering technology or a related field and 3 years of experience.
• Working knowledge of measurement areas such as voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, time and frequency, signal conditioning, pressure, force, dimensional tooling, and technical drawings.
• Experience using common laboratory measurement, calibration, and test equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• US citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track, or Met/Cal experience.
• PMEL, TMDE, or calibration school experience.
