Cloud Security Engineer (Azure)

Salary: $150,000–$158,000 yearly

What you will do

• Stand up and secure cloud storage, application, and networking resources across Azure and AWS environments.
• Support cloud architecture, data interoperability, metadata architecture, system integration, and API enablement for the SCHARE platform and related data environments.
• Implement and maintain technical security controls, remediate vulnerabilities, and secure data environments for ongoing compliance.
• Support Authorization to Operate activities by preparing technical artifacts and coordinating with the agency CIO organization.
• Manage SSL certificate requests, document work in SOPs and ticketing systems, and provide corrective-action recommendations.
• Collaborate with server, storage, network, service desk, and application development teams to design, test, troubleshoot, and remediate solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience, plus appropriate technical certifications.
• At least 12 years of information technology experience, including 4 years leading or performing systems engineering or related functions.
• Experience with at least three security capabilities such as antivirus and malware protection, privileged access management, SIEM, log collection and analysis, security monitoring, vulnerability remediation, Active Directory Group Policy, or disk encryption.
• Experience managing private networks within Azure, with comprehensive RBAC and Entra ID knowledge.
• Experience with Azure and AWS resources, SaaS/PaaS storage, Kubernetes or Docker, endpoint management tools, and security or infrastructure platforms.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CompTIA CASP+, MSCE, or another recognized security or technology certification.
