Associate Consultant - EMC (May/June 2027 Start)

Location: Boston, MA, USA; eligible for hire in select U.S. locations

Salary: USD 96,000–112,000 yearly, including billable hours commission

What you will do

• Conduct primary and secondary research for life science consulting projects.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses to generate client insights.
• Develop Excel and PowerPoint deliverables, integrate analysis, and communicate findings clearly.
• Attend client meetings and present relevant elements of the analysis.
• Identify trends, draw conclusions, and turn insights into actionable strategic recommendations.
• Interview clients’ customers, competitors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, economics, business, life sciences, or a related field.
• At least one year of professional experience, preferably in life science consulting.
• Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to conceptualize analysis into processes and frameworks and deliver high-quality outputs under time pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Monday–Friday schedule of 40 hours per week; overtime and weekend or evening work may be required for project deadlines.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree from a top-tier institution.
• At least six months of experience at a life science consultancy.
• Experience working across multiple projects and handling associate- or analyst-level responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of pharma and biotech industry dynamics and issues.
