Solutions Consultant (SecOps)

Location: Hybrid role requiring attendance at customer sites across the UK and the Basingstoke office. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, with UK travel, occasional overnight stays, and occasional international travel.

What you will do

• Act as a SecOps specialist in customer meetings, discovery workshops, technical presentations, and demonstrations.
• Design technically credible and commercially viable solutions across SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, threat intelligence, exposure management, vulnerability management, and email security.
• Build bills of materials and supporting solution designs, initially focusing on Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Represent Managed SOC, Managed VOC, and Threat Intelligence services delivered through the Cyber Defence Operations Centre.
• Support qualification, proposals, RFIs, RFPs, statements of work, and customer presentations while progressing toward end-to-end opportunity ownership.
• Create sales enablement materials, deliver training, and contribute to webinars, events, and thought leadership.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as pre-sales, consultancy, professional services, security operations, or architecture.
• Strong understanding of SOC operations, detection, and response processes.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel, plus familiarity with at least two SecOps or security technologies.
• Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, writing, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with sales, delivery, vendors, and security operations teams.
• Full UK driving licence required, with willingness to travel to customer sites across the UK.

Nice to have

• Hands-on Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender experience.
• Experience with technical demonstrations, managed security services, RFIs, RFPs, and solution design.
• Knowledge of SOAR, automation, and AI-assisted security operations.
• Microsoft or other relevant cybersecurity certifications, or experience working within or alongside a SOC.
