TL;DR
Cyber Security Manager (Security Assurance and Accreditation): Delivering security assurance, accreditation, testing, and incident-response activities for NEC and its customers with an accent on cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and vulnerability remediation. Focus on producing assurance documentation, coordinating security testing, driving remediation, and communicating technical controls to customers and non-technical stakeholders.
Location: Remote or hybrid within the United Kingdom; primarily home based with occasional travel to NEC offices. Candidates must have a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK.

What you will do
- Provide qualified responses to customer tenders and security assurance questionnaires.
- Produce and maintain security assurance documentation for customer accreditations.
- Coordinate security testing, create remediation plans, and drive vulnerability remediation through completion.
- Conduct security assessments and audits across people, processes, and technology.
- Support security incident and vulnerability management, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Contribute to security policies, procedures, guidance, and business-facing security content.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an IT security role and a strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and fundamentals.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, regulations, and risk management.
- Experience writing comprehensive responses to security questionnaires or bids.
- Strong communication, collaboration, self-management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Must be security cleared or able to obtain and maintain NPPV Level 3+SC clearance.
- Pre-employment checks include BPSS and Disclosure Scotland vetting; additional DBS, reference, and occupational health checks may apply.
Nice to have
- Experience producing pragmatic security assurance documentation aligned with different risk appetites.
- Exposure to penetration testing processes and reports.
- Experience with shared multi-tenant environments and formal independent accreditations.
- Working knowledge of Cyber Essentials Plus.
