Senior Backend Developer (.NET)

Location: Liverpool City Centre HQ, UK; hybrid with 3 days in the office each week

Salary: £65,000–£75,000 depending on experience

What you will do

• Build and maintain scalable backend services using C#/.NET and Azure.
• Design and implement APIs, database solutions, and event-driven microservices.
• Deploy and operate services with Docker, Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Write clean, testable, performant, and maintainable code supported by unit and integration testing.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and cross-functional engineers to deliver features.
• Mentor developers and contribute to engineering practices, architecture, peer reviews, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Solid experience with C#, .NET, and Dockerized microservices.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and Entity Framework.
• Understanding of event-driven architecture and modern microservice patterns.
• Experience with testing, CI/CD, and cloud deployments.
• Pragmatic problem-solving skills and a focus on clean, maintainable code.
• At least one year remaining on a Graduate or Post-Study Work visa; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Clean Architecture or the Mediator pattern.
