TL;DR
AV Operations Support Technician (Workplace AV and Zoom): Supporting and maintaining workplace audio/visual infrastructure and conference room technologies with an accent on hardware troubleshooting, Zoom Rooms, incident management, and preventative maintenance. Focus on diagnosing complex conference room, networking, and audio systems, performing UAT, and ensuring reliable onsite video conferencing operations.
Location: Full-time onsite in the West Creek area of Richmond, VA, with travel to nearby Richmond locations as needed

What you will do
- Support, maintain, and optimize workplace AV infrastructure and conference room technologies.
- Configure hardware, perform break/fix support, troubleshoot issues, and carry out preventative maintenance.
- Provide subject matter expertise for Zoom Rooms, Zoom Device Management, and Zoom Digital Signage.
- Troubleshoot conferencing systems, controllers, audio processing equipment, networking, desktop platforms, operating systems, and related infrastructure.
- Manage ITIL-based incident workflows, including documentation, tracking, escalation, and resolution.
- Perform User Acceptance Testing and maintain accurate AV hardware and asset inventory records.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
- At least one year of technical support or IT operations experience.
- At least one year of experience supporting IT systems, networking, infrastructure, desktop platforms, and operating systems.
- At least one year of experience with incident management and reporting tools.
- Foundational networking knowledge and experience troubleshooting technical hardware and related systems.
- Ability to provide onsite technical support in Richmond and participate in occasional after-hours and weekend support.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting enterprise AV or conference room environments.
- Experience with Poly, Biamp, Crestron, audio DSPs, and audio signal processing.
- Experience with Zoom, Zoom Rooms, Zoom Device Management, or Zoom Digital Signage.
- Experience with ITIL incident management, UAT, or technical hardware inventory systems.
