2027 Winter Co-Ops - Software Development - Demonware (Dublin)

Location: Onsite at the Dublin, Ireland office; 8-month in-person co-op starting January 2027.

What you will do

• Build multiplayer features, core backend systems, tools for large-scale distributed services, and scalable data pipelines.
• Work with Kubernetes infrastructure and automation frameworks.
• Collaborate in design discussions and with cross-disciplinary engineers across global offices.
• Perform root cause analysis and automate workflows to improve reliability, performance, and developer experience.
• Maintain and evolve a reliable, scalable, and maintainable operational platform for players worldwide.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary or graduate program and expecting to graduate between January 2027 and May 2028.
• Available for an 8-month, in-person co-op starting January 2027.
• Strong written and verbal communication, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of Python, C++, and/or Java.
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Familiarity with Linux and source control, preferably Git.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP, UDP, and HTTP.
• Resume and transcript required; an automated coding assessment is part of the interview process.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL-based databases, preferably MySQL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools, Kubernetes, and multi-platform development.
• Scripting experience with Bash and/or Groovy.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and Linux/Unix internals.
• Exposure to security and scalability concepts.
• Experience building RESTful services or web applications.
• Personal projects, extracurricular activities, programming-related hobbies, notable school assignments, or open-source contributions demonstrating passion for computer science.
• Links to code repositories, portfolios, or technical blogs.
