Senior Manager, Product Security (AI)

Location: Remote in the United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.

Target annual compensation: $250,000–$275,000 plus equity.

What you will do

• Define and execute the product security strategy, roadmap, operating model, and success metrics.
• Hire, manage, mentor, and develop product security engineers and build a high-performing security team.
• Establish secure software development practices covering security requirements, architecture reviews, threat modeling, testing, and remediation.
• Use AI and automation for security reviews, vulnerability triage, risk identification, and agentic security workflows.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to secure AI-powered features, cloud-native architectures, and multi-tenant products.
• Lead vulnerability management, product security incident response, security education, customer security engagements, and risk communication.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in application security, product security, or related security engineering roles, including cloud-native SaaS security.
• 5+ years of people management or technical leadership experience building security teams or programs.
• Strong knowledge of modern application security, secure architecture, threat modeling, OWASP Top 10, secure SDLC, and DevSecOps.
• Experience with AI and automation for security programs, cloud environments—preferably AWS—and containerized infrastructure such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets detection, CI/CD security integrations, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Ability to communicate technical risk, business impact, priorities, and tradeoffs to engineers, product leaders, and executives.

Nice to have

• Experience securing AI/ML systems and LLM-powered features, including prompt injection, model abuse, data leakage, tool-use risks, and agentic systems.
• Familiarity with LLM red-teaming, MITRE ATLAS, and the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications.
• Experience with Ruby, TypeScript, Rust, Tines or similar automation platforms, and secure-by-default developer platforms.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS security, APIs, integrations, workflow engines, FedRAMP, or DoD Impact Level environments.
• Experience operating bug bounty or vulnerability disclosure programs and participating in security research communities.
