QA Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote in the United States; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

Salary: $110,000–$150,000 per year for candidates in the U.S.

Runway builds AI systems and creative tools for world simulation, including AI-powered video generation.

What you will do

• Own quality for product areas from development through launch.
• Test AI-powered video generation products and identify risks and edge cases with Product, Design, and Engineering.
• Write, debug, and maintain automated end-to-end tests for web and mobile applications.
• Use AI agents to investigate code, triage bugs, debug tests, explore the product, and expand automated coverage.
• Create detailed test cases and maintain the test case library.
• Coordinate with external third-party testers and test mobile apps, public APIs, and developer-facing surfaces.

Requirements

• Experience testing complex modern web and mobile applications.
• Hands-on experience with automated end-to-end testing, debugging failures, Git, and code review.
• Strong knowledge of QA best practices, risk-based prioritization, test planning, and actionable bug reporting.
• Experience using AI tools and building AI-assisted testing workflows.
• Self-directed, async-friendly communication skills and strong empathy for users of creative products.
• Understanding of the functionality and output quality of prominent AI audio, image, and video generation technologies.
