Technical Support Engineer - Swing Shift (Cybersecurity)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah; hybrid with on-site work 2–3 days per week, typically within 50 miles of the office. The role operates on the swing shift from 4:00 PM–12:00 AM Mountain Time and may include participation in a 24×7 remote support rota.

What you will do

• Provide responsive, customer-focused technical support and explain complex product concepts clearly.
• Investigate customer issues, analyze root causes, and collaborate with Professional Services and Engineering on resolutions.
• Use logs and sample data to reproduce issues and communicate clear, actionable findings.
• Test product releases and report reproducible defects to support product improvements.
• Create customer-facing documentation, guides, tutorials, and walkthroughs.
• Participate in the global follow-the-sun support model and 24×7 remote support rota when required.

Requirements

• Hold or be willing to obtain an active TS clearance.
• Graduate-level qualification in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technology discipline.
• Customer-facing experience in technical support, consulting, engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong Linux skills, especially RHEL, plus experience across Windows and macOS.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, log analysis, Kubernetes, container platforms, and scripting.
• Strong networking and cybersecurity fundamentals, including DNS, NTP, HTTPS, SSL certificates, TCP/IP, Ethernet, routing, switching, proxies, firewalls, Syslog, and security best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI or interest in using AI-assisted tools in technical workflows.
