Salary: 35,000 GBP + 15% shift allowance

What you will do

• Monitor live customer infrastructure and troubleshoot software issues.
• Manage and maintain Windows and Linux server operating systems.
• Provide technical support via email, phone, and chat for a diverse client base.
• Deploy and patch SDS software and operating systems on appliances.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the operations team.
• Handle corporate IT desktop and laptop management, including new user onboarding.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an IT operational support role working with Linux.
• Solid understanding of core internet technologies including routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills in a customer-facing environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to work a 24/7 shift pattern (4 on 4 off, daylight hours).
• Willingness to learn and apply new technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Nagios, CheckMK, or Apache.
• Knowledge of containerization (Kubernetes/Docker) and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).
• Familiarity with resilient file systems (ZFS, DRBD, LVM, RAID).
• Scripting proficiency in BASH, Python, or PowerShell.
• Exposure to AI technologies like Microsoft Copilot.
