Patient Access Supervisor

Location: Onsite at Covenant - St Marys, Lewiston, Maine, United States

Salary: Starting at $47,400 annually; final compensation depends on experience.

What you will do

• Coordinate patient registration and pre-registration activities and monitor daily productivity.
• Prepare and review performance reports covering point-of-service collections, wait times, overtime, and productivity.
• Assign staff schedules, manage time off and call-offs, and balance staffing with productivity requirements.
• Track upfront collections, assign goals, coach employees, and take corrective action when needed.
• Lead staff orientation, training, audits, evaluations, and ongoing development.
• Support department processes, assigned projects, facility activities, meetings, and on-call coverage including days, nights, and weekends.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant job experience.
• Required certifications: Certified Healthcare Access Management (CHAM) and Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR).
• Ability to lead and direct others, with strong analytical skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of registration, insurance, scheduling, verification, and hospital billing.
• Advanced use of AI and experience managing teams using AI to improve processes and technology.
• On-call availability may include days, nights, and weekends.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor's degree.
• 2–3 years of supervisory experience in healthcare or business.
