TL;DR
Project Management Analyst (Federal Audit) (project operations and financial management): Supporting federal audit engagements through onboarding, resource scheduling, budget tracking, travel coordination, stakeholder communication, and administrative operations with an accent on accuracy, compliance, and coordination across multiple stakeholders. Focus on monitoring labor utilization and project expenditures, identifying budget variances, managing competing priorities, and maintaining government and company asset readiness.

Location: Hybrid role requiring in-office presence in Alexandria, Virginia, at least 3 days per week

Base compensation: $71,000–$83,000–$105,000 annually; final compensation depends on experience, geographic location, and the applicable government contract.

What you will do

  • Support the Federal Audit Resource Management Team with administrative and project management activities.
  • Coordinate onboarding, system access, mandatory training, certifications, staff availability, leave, and project assignments.
  • Review timesheets, maintain project budget actuals, monitor labor utilization and expenditures, and support forecasting and reporting.
  • Coordinate business travel, authorizations, documentation, reimbursements, schedules, and issue resolution.
  • Manage calendars and meetings, prepare correspondence and status updates, and communicate with leadership, stakeholders, government clients, and prime contractors.
  • Maintain equipment and software inventories, resolve administrative issues, support special initiatives, and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Availability to work in the Alexandria, Virginia office at least 3 days per week.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in administrative, project management, or resource management support.
  • Strong organizational, communication, relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and maintain professionalism, discretion, and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting federal audit, consulting, or government contracting engagements.
  • Experience with project scheduling, resource planning, budget tracking, and document management systems.
  • Knowledge of government travel, invoicing, and compliance requirements.
