Principal Value Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; must be authorized to work in the U.S. Regular travel is required, typically under 25%.

Annual salary: $171,000–$229,000 USD, plus a performance-based bonus and employee equity.

What you will do

• Build and operationalize a scalable Value Engineering practice and engagement model across the Go-To-Market organization.
• Design ROI models, financial impact assessments, and total cost of ownership tools that quantify the platform’s business impact.
• Partner with account teams to lead value-based sales activities and financial discussions with C-suite decision-makers.
• Standardize value-selling methodologies across regional teams and embed them throughout the customer journey.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Enablement, and Marketing to deliver value-selling training and best practices.
• Provide value-realization insights and measure impact on sales velocity, average deal size, win rates, retention, and expansion.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Value Engineering, Management Consulting, Sales Strategy, or Business Strategy within B2B enterprise technology.
• Deep expertise in financial modeling, ROI calculation, business case development, and translating technical impact into economic value.
• Strong customer-facing and executive communication skills, with experience building trust with senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success developing and scaling value engineering frameworks or structured sales motions.
• Exceptional ability to synthesize complex technical and analytical insights into clear business narratives.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; willingness to travel typically under 25% is required.
