TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer (Java) (Backend/Healthcare): Develops clean, tested, and maintainable backend applications for healthcare solutions that enhance patient care, with an accent on Java, Spring Boot, event-driven architecture, and scalable system design. Focus on designing reliable applications, integrating message queues and relational and NoSQL databases, reviewing code, and mentoring engineers.

Location: Vilnius, Kaunas, or Šiauliai, or remote within Lithuania; hybrid workplace

What you will do

  • Develop clean, well-tested, and maintainable code for complex client solutions.
  • Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications with the development team.
  • Conduct code reviews and uphold engineering best practices and unit-testing standards.
  • Mentor team members and support their professional development.
  • Contribute to an Agile team and its continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Extensive backend development experience.
  • Excellent Java and expert-level Spring Boot knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and hands-on experience with message queues such as RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including database migrations.
  • Expert-level object-oriented programming knowledge and experience designing scalable, reliable applications.
  • Fluency in Lithuanian and English, both written and spoken.
