Software Engineer (Java)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Java): Designing and developing backend services for hirify.global's technology platforms with an accent on reliability, scalability, and cloud-native architecture. Focus on implementing high-performance Java solutions, managing containerized services in Kubernetes, and optimizing client-facing systems.

Location: Hybrid (at least 3 days a week in-office in Vilnius, Lithuania)

Salary: EUR 3,000 – 3,500

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services primarily using Java.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Manage the full development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and testing.
• Support integration and platform initiatives across multiple complex systems.
• Conduct code reviews and participate in technical discussions to improve engineering standards.
• Implement and manage deployment activities within cloud environments using Kubernetes and containerization.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Vilnius, Lithuania (hybrid setup).
• 2–4 years of professional experience in software development.
• Solid proficiency in Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with Git in collaborative environments.
• English: C1 (Excellent working proficiency) required.
• No previous unspent criminal convictions under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python and SQL.
• Knowledge of capital markets, fintech, or regulated technology environments.
• Experience working within global or multicultural technology teams.
