Associate Category Manager - Fibers & Paper

What you will do

• Co-lead global category strategies and translate enterprise priorities into actionable procurement roadmaps.
• Own fibers and paper subcategories, sourcing programs, supplier selection, negotiations, and implementation.
• Deliver value creation targets through savings, cost avoidance, working capital improvements, contract coverage, and cash-impacting initiatives.
• Lead total-cost-of-ownership optimization, should-cost analysis, benchmarking, demand challenge, and design-to-cost initiatives.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, performance governance, business reviews, improvement plans, and escalations.
• Monitor market, geopolitical, regulatory, supplier, ESG, and operational risks while advising senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in strategic procurement, category management, sourcing, or supplier management.
• Experience in global manufacturing or industrial environments, including international supply markets and cross-border stakeholders.
• Proven success developing category strategies, leading complex sourcing programs, and delivering measurable business value.
• Strong matrix leadership, stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Advanced analytical capability in spend analysis, market intelligence, supplier performance data, cost models, and digital decision-support tools.
• Ability to convert business priorities into procurement strategies that optimize value, manage risk, and support enterprise objectives.
