Customs & Project Logistics Specialist

Location: Hybrid role based in Cottbus, Brandenburg, Germany

hirify.global's Procurement & Logistics team supports large-scale international projects across the mining, metals, and process industries.

What you will do

• Develop and execute project-specific logistics, transportation, and packaging concepts for international customer projects.
• Coordinate project logistics execution and serve as the main interface between customers, project teams, suppliers, and logistics providers.
• Drive improvements in logistics, transportation, and sourcing processes while supporting supplier qualification and provider management.
• Act as the local Customs Officer and ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export requirements, and hirify.global trade compliance policies.
• Coordinate customs documentation, certificates of origin, supplier declarations, Incoterms, and customs classifications.

Requirements

• Completed commercial vocational training with relevant professional experience.
• Several years of experience in project logistics and/or customs/export control, preferably in an international, project-driven industrial environment.
• Experience working in international project environments and managing stakeholders across project management, engineering, sales, suppliers, and logistics providers.
• Proactive, well-organized, self-driven working style with strong communication skills.
• Fluent German and English, written and spoken, are required.

Nice to have

• Additional Customs Officer certification.
• Prior customs experience; willingness to build customs expertise on the job is also accepted.
