CNC Setter Operator (Mill/Turn) (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Set up and operate multiple CNC mill/turn machines and processes.
• Perform first-off inspections and verify components against drawing tolerances.
• Use precision measurement equipment and complete quality documentation.
• Apply machining techniques, appropriate tooling, and process improvement methods.
• Work to exceptionally close tolerances required in aerospace manufacturing.

Requirements

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship and previous machine-shop experience.
• More than 5 years of experience operating different mill/turn CNC machines, including Okuma, Mazak, DMG, Matsura, and Puma.
• Strong knowledge of machining techniques, tooling, and multi-axis or complex machining.
• Proficiency with inspection techniques and equipment for achieving drawing tolerances.
• Ability to self-certify and hold a quality stamp after the qualifying period.
• Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance must be obtained and maintained.
