What you will do
- Own the evaluation and approval process for deployments within defined Operational Design Domains.
- Verify that system and vehicle releases meet validation and approval requirements before deployment.
- Support autonomous vehicle bring-up from receipt and commissioning through first autonomous missions.
- Manage recurring software releases, including quality gates and validation through simulation, closed-course testing, shadow mode, and supervised testing.
- Schedule fleet software updates with zero downtime during peak operations and maintain reversion readiness.
- Define vehicle configurations and lead change management, documentation, and review-board processes for regulatory and customer compliance.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience developing and managing safety-critical autonomous deployments.
- Strong understanding of software development, system architecture, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and aligning them around unified processes.
- Ability to communicate technical issues and solutions across engineering and business audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or an equivalent discipline preferred.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience fostering a safety culture in aviation, airline, or robotics applications.
- Familiarity with airport and airline operations or airside driving environments.
- Experience with safety standards including ISO 26262, ISO 21448, UL 4600, IEC 61508, ANSI B56.5, ISO 3691, and ANSI 15.08.
