Engineering Delivery Manager (Defence)

Location: Belfast, UK; onsite 4 days per week

Salary: GBP 50,000–65,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead engineering work packages across complex defence programmes, delivering against cost, schedule, and quality targets.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage dependencies, actions, delivery risks, opportunities, and engineering governance.
• Monitor project schedules, resources, budgets, and delivery performance with project management and engineering leadership.
• Support bids, change requests, estimating, planning, solution development, and business growth activities.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in engineering project, delivery, or work package management within a complex technical environment.
• Experience with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource management, risk management, and performance reporting.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams and influencing stakeholders without direct line management responsibility.
• Experience in defence, aerospace, naval, security, or another highly regulated sector.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience from a technical military background.
• Must be willing and eligible to obtain SC security clearance and complete Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.

Nice to have

• Background in systems, software, hardware, or electronics engineering.
• Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Jira, DOORS, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Experience supporting bids, proposals, change requests, or business growth activities.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management methodologies.
• Experience with radar, communications, mission systems, underwater systems, or other defence programmes.
