Senior Technical Surveyor (Subsidence)

Location: Home-based in the United Kingdom; ideally based in Leeds and surrounding areas. Fully remote with travel to damaged properties.

What you will do

• Lead complex domestic and commercial subsidence claims from initial investigation through final resolution.
• Visit damaged properties and assess structural, technical, and insurance-related issues.
• Design and oversee stabilisation schemes, repair strategies, and foundation solutions using geotechnical investigations.
• Produce technical reports, specifications, and tender documents, and administer building contracts, valuations, and variations.
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, Planning, CDM, and Party Wall legislation.
• Work with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters, contractors, and local authorities; support colleagues, training, client relationships, and accurate case management.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Surveying, or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in subsidence investigation and building pathology.
• Understanding of buildings insurance, contract administration, and construction law.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, organised, and able to work independently.
• Flexible mindset and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Professionalism, enthusiasm, and commitment to customer service.
