Insight Analyst (Insurance)

Location: Liverpool City Centre, UK, on a hybrid working basis

Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience, plus a potential performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Support and lead Household Claims analysis by monitoring performance, identifying and reducing leakage, and helping define data-led strategy.
• Quantify the impact of Household Claims process changes on the reserving cycle and contribute to triangulation development.
• Work with business stakeholders to clarify, prioritise, and deliver insight requests to tight deadlines.
• Partner with the Household Claims operation to promote best practices in data-driven decision-making.
• Own and calculate cost-saving initiatives, assessing marginal customer impacts and communicating results in Claims and Reserving terms.

Requirements

• Essential experience and knowledge of home insurance products.
• Curiosity, lateral thinking, and the ability to investigate underlying causes and implications of performance changes.
• Confidence with numbers and advanced mathematics, including the ability to analyse large datasets and produce concise insights.
• Comfortable using SQL to extract, cleanse, and manipulate data.
• Experience building dashboards with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar tools.
• Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders at different levels, and manage expectations up to Exec/C-Suite level.
