Network SME (S3 | CIO | Milton Keynes)

Location: Milton Keynes, United Kingdom; hybrid working with office attendance required at least 12 days per month.

Salary: £60,800–£91,200 per annum, depending on experience. Additional £6,000 car allowance per year.

What you will do

• Act as the technical expert for enterprise network services.
• Review service performance, incidents, problems, changes, and operational risks.
• Support major incident resolution and root cause analysis.
• Assess the impact of network changes and projects on business-critical services.
• Coordinate with operations, security, vendors, service management, and engineering teams.
• Provide technical input for governance, reporting, service reviews, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of hands-on networking experience in complex enterprise environments.
• Enterprise LAN/WAN networking across IOS and EOS, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and STP.
• Experience with SD-WAN, firewalls, DNS, IPAM, VPNs, and load balancers.
• Experience with incident, problem, and change management, including ticketing and ITSM tools such as Jira or ServiceNow.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, risk assessment, root cause analysis, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom is required.

Nice to have

• Degree in IT, cybersecurity, computer science, or equivalent experience.
• Spanish language skills.
• Security awareness focused on remediation and hardening.
