Senior Network Administrator

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States, or Washington, District of Columbia, United States. Travel up to 10% within the continental United States is required.

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 per year in base compensation, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless infrastructure across LAN, WAN, and multi-domain environments.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity while diagnosing and resolving connectivity and performance issues.
• Design and implement network segmentation, VLANs, routing architectures, firewall rules, VPNs, access control lists, and network inspection controls.
• Maintain network health through firmware updates, patching, licensing, log integration, and monitoring tool administration.
• Support incident response, network upgrades, expansions, migrations, government audits, and site implementations.
• Collaborate with ISSMs, ISSOs, cybersecurity engineers, program security teams, and IT teams on secure network architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• 5–8 years of experience in network administration, network engineering, or infrastructure operations, including 2–3 years managing enterprise production networks.
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or Fortinet.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, proxies, mail gateways, and SSL/TLS inspection.
• Experience with Wireshark or tcpdump, SIEM platforms such as Splunk or ArcSight, and network monitoring tools.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; TS/SCI eligibility is preferred.

Nice to have

• Active TS clearance and experience in DoD, intelligence community, or classified environments.
• Knowledge of CMMC and NIST SP 800-171/172 and 800-53 controls.
• Experience with M365 GCC High, cloud networking, hybrid infrastructure, Ansible, or Python scripting.
• CCNA, CCNP, Network+, Security+, CISSP, or equivalent networking certification.
