Database Administrator (PostgreSQL)

What you will do

• Maintain and optimize PostgreSQL databases and data warehouses.
• Monitor database performance and diagnose and resolve bottlenecks.
• Support and help automate ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards.
• Provide data analysts with accurate, well-structured data for reporting.
• Collaborate with the Senior Data Engineer on pipeline design and architecture decisions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in database administration, data engineering, or a related field.
• Strong PostgreSQL knowledge, including performance tuning, indexing, backups, and query optimization.
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline fundamentals.
• Fluent SQL skills; scripting with Python or Bash is beneficial but not required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to data quality.
• Proficiency in English with strong communication skills.
