Senior FP&A Analyst (Renewable Energy)

Location: US, Arlington, VA

Salary: $105,000–$131,325 per year, plus an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Coordinate inputs, explanations, and analysis from strategic business units for monthly and annual corporate reporting.
• Prepare the annual budget and monthly forecasts by consolidating and analyzing regional reports.
• Analyze performance drivers, forecast outputs, and budget-to-actual variances for senior leadership.
• Build financial models for investment opportunities and customer proposal responses, including valuation, NPV, IRR, ROE, capital requirements, and cash-flow analysis.
• Lead cross-functional analysis and prepare business cases, sensitivities, executive reports, and Investment Committee presentations.
• Collaborate with functional teams to develop business assumptions and support periodic and ad hoc FP&A initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in FP&A or business valuation analysis.
• Experience preparing and reviewing complex financial models in Excel.
• Ability to work effectively with accounting systems and strong understanding of data analytics and business performance.
• Strong analytical, planning, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Fluent English and a bachelor’s degree.

Nice to have

• Experience with FP&A, financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis across the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with dashboards, data visualization, automation, and AI.
• Renewable energy experience.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Anaplan, BPC, or ThinkCell.
