VP Engineering (Agentic AI)

Location: Hybrid in Paris or London, with travel between offices approximately every 4–6 weeks.

What you will do

• Define and execute a scalable, defensible technology strategy for the AI platform.
• Architect and scale agents, orchestration, model integration, and infrastructure.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions and improve platform performance, reliability, cost efficiency, robustness, and maintainability.
• Translate frontier AI research into repeatable, enterprise-ready products and standardize bespoke or forward-deployed systems.
• Build and lead a high-caliber engineering organization, scaling from a startup structure to multi-layered, high-output teams.
• Partner with the CEO on product direction, investor and board discussions, technical due diligence, fundraising, and long-term platform positioning.

Requirements

• Experience as a CTO, VP Engineering, or equivalent in a high-growth, venture-backed environment.
• Proven ability to scale engineering teams and systems through rapid growth phases.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, AI/ML infrastructure, or developer platforms.
• Ability to engage with frontier research while maintaining production excellence.
• Strong product intuition, platform strategy skills, and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving technical environments.
• Experience communicating with investors, boards, and senior stakeholders with clarity and authority.
