Market Risk Intern (Quantitative)

Location: Milan, Italy (hybrid)

Compensation: €1,500/month

What you will do

• Monitor, measure, analyse, and report market risk and liquidity risk indicators and limits.
• Support risk oversight of the bank’s balance sheet and integrated market and liquidity risk assessments.
• Gather data and perform calculations and analytical pre-work for pricing, valuation, and behavioural analysis of balance-sheet products.
• Design and build an advanced forecasting model of customer behaviour under different product characteristics and market scenarios.
• Collaborate with senior team members, headquarters, and international risk experts.

Requirements

• Completed or nearly completed Master’s degree in Econometrics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Basic understanding of financial mathematics, financial markets, bank balance sheets, market risk, and liquidity risk.
• Good programming skills in Python and the ability to work with data using Excel.
• Working proficiency in written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience with data analysis and modelling.
• Knowledge of SAS, VBA, or similar tools.
