Android Engineer

hirify.global develops mobile ticketing applications for public transport, including hirify.global and FTQ Lab.

What you will do

• Design and implement features for mobile apps used by more than 1.5M active users each month.
• Maintain existing functionality and ensure reliable application operation.
• Write simple, clean, efficient, and testable code.
• Release and monitor applications using automation tools and app-store publishing workflows.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, UX specialists, and product experts to expand the solution worldwide.
• Take ownership of technical projects and contribute to improving engineering processes.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional mobile engineering experience.
• Professional knowledge of Android and mobile architectures, operating systems, and ecosystems.
• Knowledge of Kotlin and Compose Multiplatform, or willingness to learn them.
• Strong software design skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent spoken and written English; candidates must be based in Switzerland.

• Approximately 45-minute screening interview with the People Team.
• 90-minute technical screening and coding interview.
• 120-minute system and software design interview.
