Location: 100% onsite in Colorado Springs, Colorado, or Beavercreek, Ohio. Minimal travel and standard working hours.
Salary: $115,900–$173,800 annually for the Colorado Springs area; $110,400–$165,500 annually for the Beavercreek area. Additional compensation may include bonuses, incentives, sign-on bonuses, and relocation benefits.

What you will do
- Lead the design, development, maintenance, and deployment of software for high-velocity data stream processing systems.
- Translate customer and mission requirements into scalable, reliable, and high-performance software designs.
- Develop prototypes and evaluate technical approaches to complex engineering problems.
- Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, system integration, and sustainment activities.
- Conduct code reviews, maintain software baselines and engineering documentation, and coordinate cross-functional development efforts.
- Mentor engineers and support task estimation, risk identification, project planning, and technical planning.
Requirements
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret / SCI security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- 5–8 years of professional software development experience with strong full software development lifecycle expertise.
- At least 4 years of experience with Java, Python, or another object-oriented programming language.
- Experience designing distributed systems or high-throughput data processing applications, including architecture, performance optimization, and system integration.
- Experience with automated testing, code reviews, software quality practices, technical leadership, and mentoring.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-6016 and MIL-STD-3011.
- Technical lead or component lead experience.
- Experience with TDD, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development.
- Security+ certification and strong analytical and leadership abilities.
