Sales and Service Banker (Banking)

Location: Providence, Rhode Island, United States; branch-based role with possible support for nearby branches and branch hours that may include evenings and weekends.

Annual base pay: $34,500–$53,000 USD.

What you will do

• Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer financial needs and recommending tailored banking, lending, and investment solutions.
• Build and deepen customer relationships through branch activities, account support, portfolio management, referrals, and cross-selling.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and other teller transactions while maintaining accurate cash drawer balances.
• Deliver personalized customer service, resolve concerns, and educate customers on digital banking and self-service tools.
• Collaborate with branch colleagues and partners to achieve sales targets and overall branch goals.
• Follow regulatory and internal requirements for risk management, fraud defense, audits, custodianship, and operational accuracy.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• At least 12 months of product or service sales experience, or qualifying retail banking, financial services, consultative sales, or hirify.global experience.
• At least 6 months of customer service experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and at least 6 months of cash-handling experience.
• Strong relationship-building, customer service, communication, consultative selling, cross-selling, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Computer proficiency, basic math skills, and ability to use digital tools and follow policies and procedures.
• Must be legally authorized to work full-time in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, training, military service, or education.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through experience, training, military service, or education.
