Staff Analog Engineer (CMOS)

What you will do

• Design systems from top-level specification analysis through optimization.
• Define and design analog blocks from specifications through production support.
• Perform design optimization, verification, technical documentation, and layout supervision.
• Evaluate, characterize, and debug silicon in the laboratory.
• Develop and use block- and system-level models.
• Provide technical support to test, product, and application engineers while collaborating with digital, firmware, verification, layout, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in analog CMOS integrated circuit design.
• M.S. in Electrical Engineering or higher.
• Strong experience designing transistor-level CMOS analog and mixed-signal blocks and systems, including IC technology and layout.
• Knowledge of analog and mixed-signal trade-offs involving speed, power, noise, mismatch, linearity, stability, and area.
• Experience with schematic entry, Spice, and mixed-mode simulation tools, as well as laboratory instruments and measurement methods.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and follow-through skills, plus knowledge of signal processing, digital design, modeling, test, and applications.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-resolution, low-power ADC architectures and design techniques.
• Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre/AFS, Siemens Symphony, Matlab, and Verilog/VHDL.
• Experience developing and verifying analog/mixed-signal behavioral models.
• Experience developing circuits for consumer and/or ITA markets.
