What you will do
- Own general ledger accounting processes for P&L and balance sheet accounts across multiple business units and legal entities.
- Oversee treasury and accounts payable activities, including invoice approvals, cash-flow forecasting, and cash management.
- Review reconciliations, journal entries, budgets, forecasts, vendor spend, customer aging, and financial results.
- Establish internal controls to reduce payment errors, duplicate payments, and fraud risks.
- Manage audit support, statutory reporting, accounting memos, PBC requests, and relationships with local accounting and tax partners.
- Support system implementations, integrations, acquisitions, GAAP adoption, process improvements, and team development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or another accounting designation is preferred.
- At least 12 years of relevant experience, including experience managing multiple legal entities within EMEA.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, financial reporting, and accounting best practices, including US and international standards.
- Proficient English is required for communication with local teams, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring staff and developing teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with computerised ledger systems such as Infor.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and strong MS Office skills.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical services or clinical research organisation.
- Experience partnering with executive leadership and supporting complex, fast-paced environments.
