Senior Manager Accounting

Location: Middletown, Delaware, United States; hybrid. Travel may be required, and holiday or weekend work may be required.

hirify.global operates in biotechnology and manufacturing, with this role supporting U.S. accounting operations and a newly established manufacturing plant.

What you will do

• Lead month-end close, account reconciliations, trial balance activities, financial statement preparation, disclosures, and supplemental reporting.
• Oversee GL, AP, AR, fixed asset, cost accounting, cash management, inventory reporting, and purchase-to-pay activities across multiple entities.
• Implement and maintain internal controls for SOX compliance and liaise with internal and external auditors and tax advisors.
• Support SAP S/4HANA initiatives through user acceptance testing, issue resolution, reporting optimization, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Coordinate with manufacturing finance, corporate accounting, IT, FP&A, and global finance teams to resolve reporting, intercompany, inventory, and trial balance issues.
• Set department goals, develop staff, monitor performance, supervise GL and AP personnel, and support budgeting, forecasting, finance policies, and variance analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant work experience.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent, including supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or a similar ERP.
• Understanding of GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, cost accounting, purchase-to-pay, and inventory operations.
• Experience with internal controls and knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience with LucaNet, QlikView, and Hyperion.
• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Mandarin language skills.
