TL;DR
Senior Hardware Design Engineer, High Speed Networking (Ethernet Hardware): Designing high-power, high-density Ethernet switches and advanced networking hardware for enterprise campuses, hyperscale datacenters, and AI clusters with an accent on high-speed PCB design, signal integrity, power integrity, and production readiness. Focus on developing 100G/200G PAM4 systems, validating complex boards, debugging prototypes, and guiding hardware designs from concept through mass production.

What you will do

  • Design high-power, high-density Ethernet switches and advanced networking hardware from functional specifications through production.
  • Select and qualify components, capture schematics, verify designs, and collaborate with eCAD teams on PCB layouts and footprints.
  • Develop signal integrity and power integrity simulations for datapath and power signals, including PCB stackups and fabrication details.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, software, diagnostics, test, manufacturing, and contract manufacturing teams.
  • Bring up and debug prototypes, drive complex system debugging, and support design validation and manufacturing test development.
  • Guide engineering groups, mentor junior engineers, and train contract manufacturers to achieve high-yield production.

Requirements

  • BSEE or MSEE.
  • 10+ years of relevant hardware engineering experience.
  • Experience designing networking hardware with 100G and 200G PAM4 Ethernet switching.
  • Experience designing 20+ layer boards with 50G+ signals, sequential lamination, HDI, and ultra-low-loss materials.
  • Experience with multi-phase DC/DC converters, DDR, PCIe, FPGA design, Verilog or VHDL, and system simulation.
  • Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, high-complexity schematics, DFM, contract manufacturing, and taking products from concept to production.

Nice to have

  • Embedded x86/ARM system design experience.
