Cost Control Analyst - Pre-Contract Closeout

Location: Remote - U.S.; flexible working hours; minimal travel of 0–20%

Salary: $93,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Track and oversee program closeout progress within the cost-control scope.
• Verify allowable costs, review trailing costs past the period of performance, and research multiple systems for reporting accuracy.
• Analyze costs on hold, cost overruns, unbilled costs, earned fee versus invoiced amounts, and excess funding.
• Initiate requests for additional funds and process de-obligation of funds by CLIN, SLIN, and ACRN.
• Partner with Operations, Contracts, Subcontracts, Compliance, Billing, Program Control, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.
• Maintain contract files and update databases, spreadsheets, and systems in accordance with retention policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Must be located in the United States; the role is remote within the U.S.
• 4+ years of experience in project planning and controls.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to identify and prevent foreseeable issues.

Nice to have

• Accounting experience.
• Experience with government billing and collections.
• Familiarity with legacy ERP systems.
