Senior Project Finance Controller

Location: Hybrid position based from hirify.global's global headquarters in Reston, Virginia, United States

Salary: $98,614–$167,644 annually

What you will do

• Manage project financials, including setup, budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, margin analysis, variance analysis, and reporting.
• Maintain project forecasts and prepare Estimate-at-Complete and Estimate-to-Complete analyses.
• Partner with Project Managers and serve as the Finance Representative on project teams.
• Set up and maintain projects in Deltek Costpoint, including contract values, funding, performance periods, labor categories, and business metrics.
• Review invoices, monitor collections and unbilled work in progress, and manage subcontractor invoice processes.
• Monitor funding and expenditures, prepare financial dashboards and progress reports, and support project closeout activities.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar project finance role with a Federal Government contractor.
• At least 5 years of experience with an ERP system.
• At least 5 years of experience using Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel with VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Ability to collaborate with clients, project teams, departments, and company management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, multitasking, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Recent experience with Deltek Costpoint project modules, including setup, revenue processing, reporting, and billing.
• Experience with Federal Government contract types, including cost-reimbursable, time-and-materials, and fixed-price contracts.
• Experience with Federal IT modernization contracts, multiple CLIN and revenue types, or project forecasting software such as TM1 and FocusPoint.
